Unique Wooden Frames is owned by a passionate photographer, who one day, needing to frame some photographs and tired of the same ‘boring’ frames available, decided to make something different. Keith being a keen woodworker, made a few ‘chunky, old looking’ wooden frames. Once viewed, they became very popular, so-much-so that that staff were employed and the sounds of wood cutting and banging emitted from the workshop.

The frames are hand-crafted from solid wood (locally produced in Knysna). They are then ‘distressed’ to obtain an old unique appearance, using different painting, burning and sanding techniques thus ensuring that no frame is the same, which makes them individually special.

Frames are made to accept the standard photograph sizes, but frames can be made to order, to accommodate that odd size photo, mirror or painting. The frames can be ordered with, or without photographic images.
