Frames….what is a frame? A frame showcases something special, whether it be an art piece, a dried flower, a preserved butterfly, a photograph, an old cricket bat, a mirror, a blackboard, etc etc. An interesting frame enhances an image and visa versa.
I think that next month should be ‘hang-a-frame’ month. Think about it…. that vacant lost area on your wall, is crying out to be covered with something punchy and vibrant…a conversation piece! A solid wooden hand crafted frame, with something special inside, is exactly what that lonely space craves. We have to look after our walls, otherwise they get lonely!!
One could do a collage of 3 to 6 smallish frames, of different colours or in the same vein - showcasing a theme….could be doors, boats, trees, the family, your pets, etc etc.
Like to look at yourself in a mirror? A large mirror resting on the floor, leaning against a wall, in a solid, chunky, distressed wooden frame, is all the rage!!!
Folks tend to hang a picture in a frame, and there it stays forever. With our frames, it is simple to whip out that ‘tired’ image, and put in something fresh. Ah ha…a new conversation piece!
We are constantly striving to produce something 'new'. At the moment we are busy working on corner and folding frames....so watch this space!
